The ancient India was home to many learning Institutions, which were characterised by an intellectual environment unlike any know to humanity. The learning sources and environment attracted many scholars from places as distant as Europe, Chine, Japan, Korea and many South Eastern Countries for centuries which had eventually faded with many centuries of Social-Political changes.

In the present 21st Century, India has re-built the same capabilities and infrastructure and is providing open opportunities to international/ foreign students to pursue their scholastic pursuit in best academic environment.

Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur was founded by Prof. (Dr.) Balbir S. Tomar, M.B.B.S., M.D., M.C.H. (USA), M.I.A.P., M.A.H.T. (ENGLAND), F.I.A.P. (USA), F.A.A.P. (USA), F.I.C.A. (USA), F.A.C.U. (LONDON), a world renowned Doctor and Professor of Pediatric-Gastroenterology in the year 2008. The University has state-of-art infrastructure, qualified & well experienced faculty members and use modern technology in teaching-learning methodologies to offer best academic programmes to all the students of 21st Century from all over the world to pursue their higher education in Campus.

Rules framed by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and other Statutory Councils notifies on their respective websites will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admissions of international students to various offered in Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Directorate of Foreign Students (DFS) of the University deals with admission and guidance of international students. This Office will control the admission of the international students and provide necessary guidance for securing admission.

Foreign Students: Students holding passports issued by foreign countries, People of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) who have acquired the nationality of foreign countries are considered as foreign/ international students. Non-Resident Indians (NRI): Those non-resident students who have studied and passed the qualifying examinations from schools / colleges / universities in foreign countries will be considered as international students.

This will include the students studying in schools/ colleges situated in foreign countries and are affiliated to Boards / Universities located in India, but will not include students studying in schools/ Colleges located in India and affiliated to Boards / Universities of the foreign countries.
Wards of NRI parents are eligible for admissions to NRI category.

VISA: All the foreign/ international students will require a “Student VISA” endorsed to Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur for joining fill time regular study programme. No other endorsement is acceptable. Students wishing to join a research study programme will require a “Research VISA” endorsed to Nims University Rajasthan, Jaipur.

The VISA should be valid for the prescribed duration of the study programme. VISA may be obtained after issuing offer of admission. A VISA is not required for NRI students.

Equivalence Certificate: All the foreign/ international students who have qualified from foreign schools / colleges/ universities recognized as equivalent by the “Association of Indian Universities, (AIU)” are eligible for admission. When required, a reference will be made to AIU to check the equivalence. In case the Board/University is not included in the list of AIU, the candidate will have to submit an Equivalence certificate obtained from AIU by paying the requisite fee mandated.

Academic Documents:

• Degrees/certificates (English translated copies, if in any other language) together with the year-wise Academic Transcript duly authenticated by Indian Embassy in the country or its concerned Foreign Mission in India.
• Copies of the Academic Certificates from Higher Secondary onwards.
• Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate issued from the last Academic School/ College/ University studied.

STEP 1

STEP 2
Read instructions of Application Procedure and proceed by pressing “Click here to access Admission Microsite” button displayed at the bottom on Page. Fill entries of Admission 2021 Form, tick declaration and press “Register” button displayed at the bottom of Page.

STEP 3
When the application is received, the candidate will be sent a letter of acknowledgement. Students will also be intimated if any additional information is required.

STEP 4
On verification of eligibility, the students will be issued an Admission Offer Letter with details of formalities for admission, WHICH IS NOT FOR VISA/FRRO PURPOSE.

STEP 5
On deposition of Registration Fee, the student will be issued Provisional Admission Letter and a Bonafide Certificate for obtaining a “Student VISA” or “Research VISA”.

STEP 6
Students are advised to reach the University Campus 1-2 days prior to the commencement of classes and report to the Office of Directorate of Foreign Students for deposition of 1st Year Fees and submission of their required documents and completion of required formalities. Only after the admission formalities are completed students will be permitted to move into the allotted hostels, if applied.

STEP 7
Registration at FRO: It is part of the normal mandatory process that all foreign students holding foreign citizenship have to register with the Foreigner's Registration Office (FRO) within the stipulated time frame of their arrival in India.
