With over 30 years of diversified experience in administration, teaching, research, and industry, Prof. (Dr.) S. C. Sharma brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Registrar. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand, and both Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Chemistry from MJP University, Rohilkhand, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. His research contributions include 17 publications and the supervision of one PhD scholar in Chemistry.

Prof. (Dr.) Sharma began his professional journey in 1993 as a Quality Control Chemist with Vam Organic Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Gajraula, Uttar Pradesh, where he worked for seven years. In 2000, he transitioned into education as a PGT Chemistry at Guru Nanak Sr. Secondary School, Kashipur, Uttarakhand.

In August 2002, he joined Chitkara Institute of Engineering & Technology as a Lecturer in Chemistry. Here, he was instrumental in implementing ISO 9001-2000 and played a key role in curriculum development for Engineering Chemistry. He also served as the Head of the Applied Sciences Department and took on additional responsibilities, including Student Welfare.

In 2011, Prof. (Dr.) Sharma was appointed as the Registrar of Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab, where he made significant contributions to the administrative framework of the university. As Registrar, he oversees the implementation of university policies and ensures the smooth execution of academic programs in coordination with the Deans.

As Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Sharma managed work related to the Student Section, Establishment Section, and served as the custodian of university records. His leadership also extended to his roles as Member Secretary of the Governing Body, Board of Management, Academic Council, Selection Committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee and Planning Board. He coordinated meetings of these bodies and ensured compliance with the regulatory frameworks set by bodies like UGC, AICTE, NCTE, PCI, COA, and INC.

He was pivotal in formulating the Statutes, Ordinances, and Regulations in alignment with university laws and regulatory requirements. He also worked closely with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for internal audits and actively contributed to the NAAC accreditation for the university.

At Nims University, he is deeply involved in academic governance, guiding the university's Board of Studies, Accreditations, and Rankings, ensuring the university’s continuous growth and improvement in all operational and academic areas.
